Grimes

Claire Elise Boucher (/bu:'SeI/ boo-SHAY; born 17 March in 1988) also known as Grimes, is a Canadian musician as a singer, songwriter, as well as a record producer. Her range of her earlier music was described as "lo the fi R&B" as well as "futuristic dance-pop". She has also used elements of hip hop electronic music and rock. She is often incorporating science fiction and feminist themes in her lyrics. She has released five studio albums. Grimes was raised in Vancouver in the early 1990s, before she moved to Montreal in the year 2000. Grimes started releasing her music in solo fashion during the 2000s. Two albums were released through Arbutus Records in 2010, Geidi Primes as well as Halfaxa in the year 2010. After signing with 4AD, she rose in fame with Visions which was her third studio album. Visions is comprised of the singles "Genesis," and "Oblivion". It also was the recipient of the Juno Award of the Canadian Music Industry for Electronic Album of the Years. Art Angels, her fourth studio album, came out in the year 2015. Many publications considered it the most successful album. In 2020, she debuted Miss Anthropocene (her fifth studio album). Grimes is an official judge of Alter Ego, a music contest. She also was part of Cyberpunk 2077 2020 role-playing game. Grimes Grimes Grimes
