Dina originates from Forest Hills in Queens. New York. But she relocated in Dix Hills on Long Island just before she finished her senior year. Her sister is younger of Gregory, and has an older brother, named Evan. She started her career in entertainment when she was nine years old and did modeling. She began her training in acting in The Neighborhood Playhouse in New York in which she learned Sanford Meisner's techniques for acting along in conjunction with Ron Stetson, for about three years. Others who have received this education include Sandra Bullock, Michael Douglas, Jeff Goldblum, Leslie Nielsen, Diane Keaton, among others. The first time she was cast as an actress was in the soap-opera Beverly Hills, 90210, which required her to move from Los Angeles to Los Angeles. Then, she got as the lead role in the movie Johnny Mnemonic, in which she was able to do all her stunts herself, and established herself as an athlete. Her agent was Matt LeBlanc, so through her talent agent she managed to get a regular part on Friends.
