Anne Lockhart (born Anne Kathleen Maloney Sept. 6 in 1953) is an American film actress. She is known best for playing Lieutenant Sheba in the Battlestar Galactica television series (1978-1979). She's the daughter and granddaughter of actor Gene Lockhart. Lockhart started her acting career very early. When she was four, her first acting role was as a character in T is for Tumbleweed. The film, which was a short one subject, was nominated for an academy award. Her mother invited her to a film studio, where she was taught about how the film industry worked. Lockhart appeared in a number of Lassie episodes. Dora in Jory, 1972 was her first film. The Sixth Sense was a program on television that was aired in 1972. There is a rumor that Anne did not want to be Laurie Strode, the character in John Carpenter's horror film Halloween. The role was eventually played by Jaime Lee Curtis. The actor. It is possible that one of her agents turned it down for her without informing her. Glen Larson chose her initially and gave her a preliminary written script. She was to appear on the show Battlestar Galactica, which aired from 1978. She rejected the role initially as the character wasn't that strong. Glen created a brand new character to play for her with Sheba as a more powerful character. The Living Legend, the first twenty-five pages of which she had read, was immediately accepted. The program ran for one episode. She was in Joyride (1977) the film that she co-starred in and performed in along with Desi Arnaz Jr. Melanie Griffith, Robert Carradine.
